We are looking for Warehouse Worker to begin working in a role immediately!
A Warehouse Worker is needed to join a large and successful Glass Factory in Brentwood, Essex to support with the general operation.
The Warehouse Worker role would suit an applicant with prior experience in a production factory but also individuals with experience from a physical work environment.
Warehouse Worker Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Accepting delivery of inventory.
  • Counting and confirming inventory.
  • Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
  • Communicating errors to relevant parties.
  • Marking and labeling stock.
  • Storing inventory in accessible manner.
  • Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
  • Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
Warehouse Worker Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Work experience as general laborer, preferably in warehouse.
  • Ability to operate forklift proficiently.
  • Completion of background investigation and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Good moral character.
  • Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
  • Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
  • Available to work extended hours.

39.5 hours a week from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on Fridays (30 mins for lunch)

About the role:

You will be part of a great team, working within a modern and clean environment, producing high precision parts and components for the Aerospace industry. The nature of the work is small to medium batch with medium to high complexity. The main requirement of this position is to work flexibly within the Corepack team to support the production of Corepacks to meet customer requirements on a timely basis. This includes deburring, dressing, and fettling of Corepacks.


Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be trained in the following areas:

  • Deburring, dressing/fettling of Corepacks after build/machining operations using equipment such as hand tools, shot blasting machines and drilling equipment- as laid out in the work instructions, to ensure a consistently high-quality product is produced
  • Degreasing laminations in preparation for coating/building using enclosed solvent degreasing machines – based on production plans and priorities set by Corepack Management
  • Complying with the procedures, customer process specifications and required standards relevant to the processing of the product
  • Resolving any issues within their ability, including machine maintenance, notifying the Corepack management of any issues which they are unable to resolve in a timely manner
  • Other Corepack manufacturing related tasks as directed by your line manager, including covering other areas of manufacturing activities during absences, holidays, busier periods etc
  • Ensuring accurate job timings are recorded within the Company’s ERP system, Javelin, by scanning on and off jobs
  • Maintaining 5-star standards on the shop floor
  • Upholding the Company’s Dignity at Work charter by contributing to a respectful working environment

Experience and Skills Required

  • Previous Aerospace experience not required as full training will be given. A basic engineering knowledge would be useful
  • Excellent attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination with the use of hand tools e.g., swiss files
  • Able to undertake repetitive, precision work
  • Good communication skills- able to speak and read/write in English
  • Able to listen to instructions and advice when needed
  • Keen to uphold our Company’s reputation for good quality parts delivered on time
